Picture from Pinterest.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!

I have so much to be thankful for this year, but most importantly all my readers who have been so good to me and thank you for motivating me to keep going! :) Sorry for being a bit dramatic.

Cannot wait for the new year to arrive although I am going to be studying through the 31st as my finals are going on. :( Sad but the truth is that I am going to enter the new year's while working hard and so that is how I would be spending the year (Referring as to how you start your new year is how you spend the whole year).

Also, my next post would be on 1st of January, 2015. (It's going to be all about resolutions!)

Also, wishing you all a very Happy New Year! :)

Stay safe on the 31st of December.

Until next year,
Sharmi Shah

P.S. My giveaway is still running so go to the last post to see what it is all about! It runs till the 1st of January, 2015.

Maybelline BabyLips Electro + Giveaway! (CLOSED)

We all are officially only 10 days away from the New Year's! What?

I am saying it here again but, Really! How fast has this year gone by?

Maybelline launched it's collection of the Electro Baby Lips here in India recently and I was soooo excited to try them. They are not available online yet and so your best bet would be get them in Maybelline Stores near you or if your local novelty store houses them. They are a bit higher in the price range than the other ones and are priced at Rs. 165.

I think that this range of the BabyLips is by far the best out of all three (the colour ones, the normal flavoured one and the electro ones). I here have four today as you can see. First I have the Fierce and Tangy which is the Yellow one. It is just your normal sheer lip balm kind of flavour. Another one I have here is the Berry Bomb which is the bright, scary Purple one you see. It is not as scary on your lips and has the sweetest pinkish purple ting to it. The next two are my most loved (atleast since the day I bought them!). The one that has my heart racing (oh so dramatic) is the Pink Shock, and as the name suggests it is the Pink one. I love the effect it has on my lips, and it is definitely going to be one of my favourite beauty picks this year. The last but not the least is the Oh! Orange! and again going by the name, it is definitely the Orange one. I love this one too because of the light orangy tinge it gives to my lips.

They all smell kind of fruity and honestly I can't really tell the difference because I have got a bad case of cold right now (you know winters and ice creams don't go so well). They all are as moisturizing as all the other baby lips. So go.. look around for them because they certainly are worth buying :)

Since I was pretty amazed by the new BabyLips and also because we are this close to the New Year's, I thought it was the perfect time to host a giveaway.

The winner will get all the four Maybelline BabyLips Electro mentioned in the post above.

Have you ever had that shade of nail polish which doesn't necessarily go with everything you wear but you love it so much that you wear it with everything! That shade for me is L'oreal Paris' 'EXQUISITE SCARLET'.

I got it from Flipkart a while ago for Rs. 235 (it is sold out now so look into stores near you or other online sites.) and I swear I have been wearing it for about 3 weeks now (obviously reapplying it over!). I really love this colour. It is not your normal red but has a tinge of orange in it and that is the reason I love this polish colour so much. My manicure lasts me around a good 4-5 days without any major chipping and I think it is a good staying power for a drugstore nail polish. Also,it is so perfect to wear it through the New Year's Eve!

What are your plans for the New Year's?

What is your current favourite nail polish?

Let me know in the comments below :)

Until next time!

Being Minimalistic!

If you have been reading my blog for a while now you would know that I love my makeup to be very basic and I prefer to cut it down just to the necessary products. Although saying that, I do love a good old red lip here and there! Also, I have started incorporating blush into my daily routine and I am loving it because it makes me look so happy and radiant (if you know what I mean!). So I decided to do a minimalistic look for you. Here are the products that I used:

1. Pond's White Beauty BB+ Cream : I start off by dotting this on my face and using a kind of circular patting motion as I feel it blends it the best. Read more on how I feel about this product here.

2. Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder: I follow up by applying this powder with the Real Techniques Blush Brush. This is my holy grail powder. This might be my 5th or 6th one. It is just so perfect, it doesn't dry your skin or make you look white or cake up, What more does one want from a pressed powder!

3. Bourjois Blush in 34 Rose s'Or: As I said using a blush is the new addition to my routine, I am loving this one by Bourjois. It's not really hard to work with and gives you the most natural blush. I think this is my holy grail blush. I have had it for almost a year, but just couldn't get myself to use it (or I actually forgot I ever had it!). I use the Real Techniques Blush Brush here as well. I know, but it works with the powder and the blush.

4. L'oreal Super Liner: I love me a good winged liner. This one gives me almost a perfect one. I say almost perfect because I have a real serious love - hate relationship going on with this liner. Some days it would give me one of the perfect lined ones and the other days it would just be a painful chore to get this to work. Just me?

5. L'oreal Million Lashes Mascara: Everybody needs Mascara right? I just follow the liner with this mascara. I don't LOVE this one but I really like it! I am not just a fan of plastic mascara applicators.

6. Joan Collins Lipgloss in Too Hot to Handle: First, how cool is the name. I finish my look by applying this lipgloss which one of my aunt got for me from London. To be honest I had never heard about it before but then I looked it up and it seems quite popular in the UK. Coming to the point, this has the perfect colour I need for this look. It's pigmented but not in your face kind. I would describe the colour as the perfect subtle colour. The consistency is great, it doesn't make your lips sticky or dry and stays on a good amount of time as well.

Here is the finished look:

Let me know what you thought of the look.

Also, are you a minimal girl like me or you love to go all out.

Comment below to let me know your thoughts.

Until next time!

Battle of the BB Creams: Garnier vs Pond's

I have never been much of a foundation girl. I have always loved BB Creams and Tinted Moisturizers more just because I love the natural or the no makeup look.

I have been using the Pond's White Beauty BB+ Cream and the Garnier BB Cream for quite a while now but couldn't decide which one of them is the better one. Let me break it down for you...

Packaging wise they couldn't be any more different. The Pond's BB+ Cream looks more like a high end BB Cream and the Garnier one looks like your average drugstore one. Price wise as well the Pond's one is just a little higher with Rs. 140 for 18 g as opposed to the Garnier one being Rs. 199 for 40 g. I think Garnier offers a better deal here. They both have SPF in Pond's and Garnier with SPF 30 and SPF 24 respectively.

As you can see in the above picture the consistency of the Pond's BB Cream is thicker than the Garnier BB Cream but I feel like the Garnier BB Cream matches my skin tone more. Undoubtedly due to a thicker consistency Pond's BB Cream has more coverage.

I have kept them separate for different occasions. If it's a wedding or a party and I need a bit more coverage I would definitely go with the Pond's White Beauty BB+ Cream as it stays a bit longer as well. But during the day I would definitely go with the Garnier BB Cream as it feels really light and nice.

I really can't choose between them but they both stand out for me just at different occasions.

Have you tried either? let me know your verdict!

Until next time.

Berry Shades

Hey everyone,

Since winter is just around the corner and it's a season of almost all things 'Berry' toned, I wanted to share with you two of my most loved Berry Shade products.

1. Rimmel London Professional Finish Nail Polish in 391 Celebrity Bash
I have been a huge lover of Rimmel products since the day I discovered them. I have tried their mascaras, lipsticks, the infamous stay matte pressed powder and I own about half a dozen of it's lipsticks. For quite sometime I have noticed that I come back to this shade of nail polish every other week just because I think it makes my hands look more polished then they actually are! It stays on for a good 4-5 days and honestly that's what I need in a good nail polish. The reason being I generally take mine off about on the 5th day as I don't like to keep them on for more than that. I got it from London because I have no clue as to where can I get them in Indian from.

2. Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipstick in 107
This is by far my most worn and my most favourite lipstick ever with this being my 3rd one. The formula is just so spot on, it doesn't dry out my lips or smudge and it lasts quite long. It's a perfect lipstick for me as It just looks so good on Olive toned skin too! I have been wearing this to all the night outs and dinners that I have been too in the past two weeks and to say that the winter is just beginning! And this is how it looks on me.

Let me know what your favourite make up item for the winter is in the comments below. Also comment below if you know where can I get Rimmel in India from.

Until next time.

Hey there!

Can you believe it's only a month and a half till 2015! What!?

I have been seeing a lot of people raving about the VICHY EAU THERMAL (Vichy Thermal Spa Water) and so I wanted to see what the all fuss was about. Luckily I found a 50ml bottle instead of the original 150ml one. This is a Paraben Free product which is very rich in minerals, which is great for sensitive skin types. As it is a spray which you can directly spray on your face, I decided not to carry my toner and cotton pads on the trip to Jaipur. I believe the less is more while travelling.

I was so happy with the results! It is the best skin pick me up I have tried in a really long time. Just spray this on your face instead of your toner and let it air dry. Follow up with your serum and moisturizer. My skin looks so refreshed and so bright! This is a product which is meant to travel with you wherever you go. I actually had my mom try it, and she ordered the full size bottle for her own self. Believe me guys I am not even allowed to touch it! *Sigh*

This product gets full points from me for packaging as well as the actual product.

I would definitely try and get my hands on it whenever possible because they sell out so quickly.

I would recommend you guys to try this out atleast once.

You can buy it from here.

Let me know how does your experience goes with this.

Until then,
Sharmi Shah

Hey there! This is my very first post in the 'My Shopping Experience' series. I will have one post every month for you from this series which will hopefully help you to know where to buy what from and which one has the nicest deals.

Because I shop from a lot, I thought I should begin with the same.

Jabong has a variety of things listed on it. They have everything from Clothing and Accessories for Women, Men and Kids to Housing stuff like bed sheets and kitchen linens. They also have a very wide variety of skincare and cosmetics. I generally order beauty stuff from it.

I ordered the following things from them:

The outer packaging was normal like any other company. A regular plastic bag sealed properly with the bill and other information on it.

I really liked how much care they had taken in wrapping each product. They has wrapped the Vichy Thermal Spa Water in a kind of an airbag should I say. There was no way it could get damaged. The other two products were wrapped in bubble wrap.

The products were into a basic sealed bag with bar codes on them.

There was a tiny dent on the Shea Butter Face and Body Scrub but it can be neglected as it didn't affect the product within.

I received all the items in about 10 days which is quite alright with me.

They also have a cash on delivery option and a 30 day return policy.

They run a loyalty program where you can earn 2% of your Order Value. To know more go on to their website linked below.

My shopping experience with Jabong has always been very pleasant without any complains till now (touch wood)

If you have any stores in mind which I should check out, do let me know in the comments below.

Haul - Almost all things beauty

I know I have been missing from the blogging scene for quite a while now (about a month) and I would explain it in detail but let’s just say that it is quite hard to blog with full time college and then work. Also, I want you guys to trust my opinion and so I wanted to post about the things that I had actually used and not just anything random.

Moving on to the post, let me start by wishing you all a very Happy New Year J

I went to Jaipur for a mini holiday and let me tell you, that city has so much history to it! You are very lucky if you live in Jaipur. I so badly wanted to share my trip with you guys but unfortunately I forgot my camera charger and ended up taking photos from my phone which are not at all worthy of uploading L. Being the shopper girl (don’t know if that’s a term yet!) that I am I went to a mall there and ended up buying quite a few things. The full reviews will be up shortly.

Until next time.

The Body Shop Body Sorbets

I don't think there has ever been even one month where I haven't mentioned a Body Shop product! What can I say, I just love this brand from the bottom of my heart! I just love it's products and the different ranges they have for different skin types and not to forget their shower gels, body lotions, scrubs and the list is endless. Oh how I love thee, The Body Shop!

Coming to the actual review, can I just say one word for it - Ah-mai-zing! These Body Sorbets are the bomb! My skin in horribly dry and so I am always on a lookout for good moisturizers as I have to moisturize every single day. True to its name, the product literally has that instant cooling effect and actually feels like a sorbet on your skin. I have to resist every morning not to eat it. They come in three fragrances - Moringa, Satsuma and Strawberry and I am currently using the Strawberry one with the Strawberry Shower Gel. It retails for Rs. 795 on The Body Shop website. You can also find it in The Body Shop stores near you.

I am introducing a 'Shopping Experience' series on my blog soon, so be on a lookout for it. EXCITED!!

Until next time.

L'oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil

I have tried so many different hair products, just because I am always on a lookout for the perfect hair combination. I might never actually reach that point, why? because even if I get myself into a routine I would get bored of it and then would eventually get back on my search for another great combination for my hair!

It is a tedious job!

One of the hair products I cannot live without would be a kind of hair serum. It is a must for my hair.
I have loved using hair serums ever since I can imagine. I feel like they give your hair that extra push to get them looking amazing and manageable. My all time favourite is the Moroccan Oil serum. But it's a chore to get it here in India. Infact, I got this L'oreal Elvive Extraordinary Oil while I was in Australia, but you can get it from here in India. I have the flower oil version of it. I feel happy knowing that I can atleast get it online.

I absolutely love the way it makes my hair feel which is just so nice. Also, it smells so divine! I use it sometimes before shampoo as a mask and sometimes I use it after shampoo as a detangler. It works wonders both ways and doesn't make my greasy or feel heavy like some serums do. At the back it says that it can be used as heat protectant as well but I wouldn't be so sure. I tried it before ironing and it didn't turn out so well. Using it as a detangler is my most favourite way to use it, just because I feel that it gives me the best result.

It consists 100 ml which would last you atleast half a year, which is a pretty good deal for such a good quality product.

I would definitely buy this one again.

Until next time.

Products I loved this month - August 2014

No matter how hard I try I always end up writing my favourites post mid monthly! I will try to get this month's favourites up in the start of next month I promise!

For this month's favourites I have a mixture of high end and drugstore products. I have always believed that if you can get a product for a quarter of a price which is quite similar to the really expensive one, why the hell not!? But, at the same time I don't mind spending my money on really good quality products which last for ages and are worth spending the moolah!

The products I have loved this month are:

L'oreal Elvive Extraoridnary Oil
I love this product because you can use it in so many ways and it can still give you the best results. I have used it as an after wash serum and also a before wash mask. It works wonders both ways.

Clinique Lipstick in shade OA
I have been using this lipstick religiously in the past month. It is a kind of Orangy lipstick with a hint of pink. I am just so bad at describing shades. I have been wearing it with whites, blacks and even pinks. Looks good each time. It does not dry my lips at all and is actually quite moisturizing as well as glossy too.

Toni & Guy Shampoo for Advanced Detox
For some reason I thought clarifying shampoos were kind of a gimmick as all shampoos are meant to clean your hair, right? But as soon as I tried this on my hair, they felt light and breathable instantly. It just takes all the gunk out of your hair. I would highly recommend this. And yes they are called clarifying shampoos for a reason!

Moschino Pink Bouquet
This perfume I am so in love with! It literally smells like summer in a bottle and yes I know it's almost winter here but hey I like summer more! It smells fruity and flowery all at the same time. Love it!

Wella Professionals ENRICH for Normal/Thick hair
I actually bought this one accidentally, I wanted to buy a mask but ended up getting a deep conditioner. As they say, it's all in the stars ;) Dramatic much!? Coming to the product, I have a love hate relationship with it and I think it got to do with the amount I use, because sometimes it makes my hair feel so smooth and the other times it just feels greasy. But it definitely a good conditioner. I use it after the Toni & Guy Shampoo for Advanced Detox.

That's it for this months favourites!

Until next time,
Sharmi Shah

First of all I would like to thank Sameera and Adi of for tagging me in this wonderful tag.

Things have always happened to me out of curiosity. More than half of the things I do in life is out of eagerness, that how will it turn out for me and what really is the hype all about. Blogging happened to me the same way. I was always a lover of new things (who isn't), but I was literally obsessed with new products from a very young age, but I never knew that my fascination with beauty and makeup would turn into a passion. A friend of mine asked me to check out the beauty videos on YouTube, I did and I became obsessed with it. Then one thing led to another and I eventually found my calling in the blogging world.

I love to write my blog because this is my happy place and I love sharing the things that I bought on a recent trip and trying new products every month. This is MY space where I can be completely honest about my experiences.

I definitely want to make my blog known to the world but it's not a monetary agenda behind writing this blog. I write it because it's my passion and I enjoy it. Shopping for new things, trying them and then reviewing them is a process that makes me delighted. This is also a place where I get to be so much more confident about what I do.

For the future, I want to introduce a fashion segment to my blog and it will be up on my 21st birthday which is about six months from now. I also have tons of reviews and collaborations lined up for you guys. So stay tuned for them.

Until next time.

Products I've Used Up #2

Here is where August ends! *sigh!*

But the good news, I have used some more products!! *Whoop* *Whoop*

I am weirdly obsessed about finishing the products that I have bought. I guess it's because I don't like to waste them. So if I like the product I would use it quite normally but if I don't I would try and use it as many ways as possible *Guilty!* but hey it's better than throwing it out, right?

So here is the list of products that I have finished:

Dove Go Fresh Nourishment Body Lotion
Love it! Two words to describe this body lotion. For more read the review coming up next week!

Lux Strawberry and Cream Body Wash
It's nice but I will not be repurchasing just because I know there are far better shower gels than this one. This was one of the products that I used in more ways just to finish it!

Himalaya Herbals Gentle Exfoliating Daily Face Wash
This is one of the nicest drugstore face wash that I have tried in so long. Doesn't dry your skin out and it is infact a bit moiturising too!

Palmolive Thermal Spa Mineral Massage Shower Gel
I remember using this maybe 3 years ago or even longer. Seeing this on the rack just took me back and I remembered how good it smelt! Smells the same still! It's a good shower gel!

Himalaya Herbals Refreshing Fruit Pack
I think I am a fan of most of the Himalaya Herbals products because they are so simple yet so effective. Whenever you think your skin feels tired and dull, put this on - wipe it off with chilled milk and voila! you'll have fresh looking skin. I used to use this atleast once in 2 days. It never dried my skin out once!

Wet Ones Be Gentle Sensitive Skincare Wipes
Nothing much to say here. Just good skincare wipes. Removes the dirt build up nicely.

That's it for this post.

Until next time.

If you're like me, you would make a wish list of products and wait till the sales are on, except of course if it's quite urgent!

Because I write a beauty blog, I am fortunate enough that I get to try so many products and because I have an OCD about it, I generally never run out of products and I LOVE to stock up.

So while it was a long weekend holiday a couple of weeks ago, we made a trip to a near by city and if it was anyone else, they would be enjoying the things and the natural beauty around while being on a road trip. Guess what was I doing? Yeah, making a list of THE BODY SHOP products I wanted to buy as they were having quite an awesome sale.

So here is the list of the things I bought:

How good does it smell!! Yes I am all about the scent! Hehe!

After trying the BODY POLISH I had to get my hands on the whole range, even if it was a couple of products at a time :)

This one I was pretty excited to try after the SATSUMA BODY POLISH! And for the scent as well;)

THE BODY SHOP launched them quite recently and I was pretty excited to try them after seeing beauty bloggers rave about them. I LOVED the try out that I did in the store and I had to buy all three, just because why not! (Actually it was the discount) and what if they were sold out the next time! I am weird like that.

I got all of the above products with a 25% discount!

Tell u what, just keep checking THE BODY SHOP INSTAGRAM, TWITTER AND WEBSITE for daily updates on cool discounts and amazing contests!

The reviews will be up in the next month.

Until then,

Face Of The Day #1

I love face of the day posts, whether they are just the pictures like Faith Pierce puts on her Instagram or full descriptive posts on the blogs.

It just keeps me a lot more interested and I guess we can know that the products are being used and how can we switch them around to get different end results.

I am not a massive user of foundations and quite frankly don't have much knowledge about them. Hell, I don't even own one. I will learn while the time goes by but for now I LOVE my Tinted Moisturizers and my BB Creams. Also I avoid using blush and bronzers on a daily basis but I love a good lip colour. Sometimes I go only with the Maybelline Baby Lips but today I have used the Clinique Lipstick in the shade OA which is a subtle tangy orange. My everyday eye staples are the Maybelline Hyper Glossy eyeliner and the Rimmel London Scandalous Mascara.

Products mentioned:

Garnier BB Cream

Clinique Lipstick in the Shade OA

Maybelline Baby Lips in the shade Pink Lolita

Rimmel London Scandalous Mascara

Maybelline Hyper Glossy Eyeliner

You can buy all of the above from Flipkart except the Clinique Lipstick which I bought from Dubai Airport.

Until next time guys.
Stay tuned for my next post.

The Body Shop Satsuma Body Polish

People generally tend to get confused between between a Body Polish and a Body Scrub.

A Body Polish works as a treatment to the body, its the same as a facial for our face. Where as, a Body Scrub is an exfoliante which removes dead skin cells and leaves the skin smooth, supple, and even more fairer.

Honestly, I have never tried a Body Polish until this one. On my very recent visit to The Body Shop I discovered the whole range of Body Polishes that they have. You can check it out here

At first, I thought it was too mild for me but I loved the scent. It smells incredible. It smells like freshness, sweet tangy freshness. It makes sense because it is made out of satsuma, an orange with a Japanese origin. But as I started using it on a regular basis (by regular I mean twice a week) I absolutely fell in love with the product. I cannot stop sniffing it! HELP!

You only need a small amount while in the shower, rub it in with a loofah or your bare hands and then rinse it off. It lathers perfectly on your skin and once you wash it off it leaves the skin surprisingly moisturised. It contains little exfoliating beads and fibers and it is of a semi-thick gel consistency which is the key reason for it's moisturizing quality.

Because a Body Scrub is so intense, it is recommended to be used only once a week but this, can be used more than once a week but i wouldn't recommend it to be used everyday only because I feel it would rip the skin off its natural oils.

I would give this product 7.5/10 and I hope I can find more of these soon.

Until next time people! :)

Products I loved this month - July 2014

How fast has is this year going by! It's already August and that means we have only 4 months till 2015! Say what!?

Today I am sharing with you Products That I Loved all throughout July so grab a snack and start reading :)

July for me was a like a discover month, I discovered so many products this month and ended up loving almost all of them. :)

The first product that I loved was this Vitamin E toner from The Body Shop. I have done a whole blog post on it which you can read about here. I love this toner because it makes my skin look so fresh and hydrated all throughout the day and because my skin is super sensitive, I am always afraid of toners as some burn after applying, but this one is so perfect, can keep repurchasing it over and over again. You can buy it near The Body Shop stores near you or online here.

I wanted to try the Organix products for a while now but couldn't as I had a stack of Shampoos and Conditioners to finish off before I bought new ones, and let me tell you guys, the wait was so worth. The Shampoo cleanses perfectly and you only have to use a tiny amount (then again depending on the length of your hair). From the duo, the Conditioner definitely stands out for me. I have never in my life ever tried such a good conditioner. It de-tangles my hair immediately and makes it so soft and shiny. It also keeps it frizz free. All in all it's a 8/10 product for me. You can buy these from here.

I ran out of cotton pads last month and the ones I had were from Australia, so I was keeping my fingers crossed for the quality when I ordered these from flipkart as I had never tried buying them online in India. I was amazed by the quality of these pads. They are very durable and of such a better quality than I had expected. I would definitely be using them for years to come by.

I go through skin wipes like nobody's business. And finding good ones in my city is a chore and that's why whenever I find some I stock up on them. Since last few months I have been loving Kara wipes and because they have such a vast variety, I was curious to try them all. This month I tried the seaweed and lavender ones. They just remove the makeup so smoothly without any irritation. If you're lucky you can find them in the stores near you or you can buy it online from Purplle if they are not all sold out.

Last but not the least in this month's favorites is the Garnier BB Cream. Get it on the stores near you or from online at Purplle. It was kind of a re-discovery and I forgot how much I loved it in the past. It is of a very smooth consistency and glides on perfectly. You can either apply it with a brush or your hands. I apply mine with a Real Techniques stippling brush. It stays put on for the whole day (until the rain decided to pour down ;)). To make it last longer you can follow up by applying compact powder on top.

So this is it for this month's favorites. Stay tuned for my next post.
Until then,

Products I loved this month - June 2014

Since it's already a week into July, I figured I should probably write about my June Favorites as any later than today wouldn't have made sense, but then again, better late than never I guess ;)

First one up for favorites is this Maybelline Color Show 'Porcelain Party'. Love the whole color show range from Maybelline. They are so affordable, don't chip and can last about a week (varies on case to case basis). They have a wonderful range of colors to choose from as well.

Second one is this Iraya Almond Nutrifying Skin Food. I have done a whole blog post on it. You can read about it here.

This Neutrogena Fine Fairness Eye Cream is a wonder product. Works magically. Read in detail about it here.

These Kara Moisturizing Wipes with Honey and Almond is the next product on my list. It wipes off my makeup right away, you don't need to scrub your face to remove makeup and an added bonus: they smell great plus they have a wide variety of different types.

This is one of the rare shampoo and conditioner duo that works great for my hair and leaves them so manageable and frizz free.

Vaseline Total Moisture Cocoa Glow is so amazing. I would eat it if I could because it smells so good. This moisturizer works well on the skin never leaving it sticky or greasy.

Who doesn't love Maybelline's Baby Lips? I love them. But unfortunately for us living in India, we have a very limited choice range from a certain variety of flavors. This month I am loving 'Pink Lolita', it leaves this subtle pink tinge on the lips which is very moisturizing and you wouldn't need to follow up with a lipstick as they are fairly pigmented.

That's it for this month's favorites.
Until next time.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Hydrating Toner

We all know the 3 basic steps to our daily skincare routine should be - cleansing, toning and moisturizing - to keep our skin well maintained. Generally people follow the first and the last step, avoiding the middle one that is toning. Toning is as important as cleansing and moisturizing, let me tell you how: A toner helps in shrinking the appearance of pores on out skin, which prevents the pollution and harsh things around us to enter our pores which cause black heads and acne. (Pretty important, right?)

People with sensitive skin (me being one of them), should always use a toner with a 0% to 10% alcohol level in it. Anything higher than that can cause irritation and flaky skin. Rose water is also a very good substitute for a non alcoholic toner. After trying so many toners I will have to confess that not all of them work, or that not all non alcoholic ones are also non irritable, but in the ones that work wonders, I here have The Body Shop's Vitamin E Hydrating Toner.

It contains Glycerin which helps in maintaining the moisture in the upper layer of our skin (moisture is very important for people who have dry or/and sensitive skin) and Vitamin E which helps reduces discoloration and balances out the skin tone. It has a semi water-gel consistency which is very hydrating and I must say it does not dry out my skin like some of the others did after like 2 minutes of applying it. It smells like baby powder to me, which I would admit is pretty pleasant, but it does not linger for long and sinks in pretty quickly.

I got in on a discount with my The Body Shop Membership Card (read all about it here) for Rs. 716 with a discount of 10% on original price Rs. 795 (Quite a discount!) You can get the toner from The Body Shop Online  or The Body Shop stores near you.

Until next time.

Neutrogena Fine Fairness Eye Cream

Eye creams are something which I came quite later on while on my journey to try and discover new beauty concepts. After buying one, I realized how important they are for our routine and so after that there has been not a single day that I have missed applying it under my eyes. Currently I am using Neutrogena's Fine Fairness Eye Cream. It cost me Rs. 250 from Flipkart. but you can find it in the stores near you. It contains Yeast Extract which helps in reducing the puffiness under our eyes and Mica which brightens the under eye area. It is so smooth in consistency. This product actually brightens up my under eye area. I have been using it since the beginning of May religiously till today, 2 times a day and it is not even half way through, so I suppose it will last me atleast a month more.

Until next time people.

Iraya Almond Nutrifying Skin Food

I have had dry skin for as long as I can remember now. The only kind of skincare that works on my face is something that is fuss free and subtle and by subtle I mean something like this Almond Nutrifying Skin Food by Iraya.

The key ingredients in this are Almonds (nourishes and moisturizes), Majistha (revitalizes and rejuvenates) and Sandalwood (hydrates and heals). Consistency wise is it quite thick and I personally would prefer to use this in winter any day over using this in summer. But despite of the thickness it surprisingly sinks quite smoothly and is not sticky.  It moisturizes my skin quite well too. It has a strong smell when you first apply it but it quickly dies down. Packaging wise, it is quite simple. It cost me Rs.460 from Flipkart. Would I buy it again? Maybe not because I know there are far better ones out there.

Untill next time. :)

Estée Lauder Idealist Even Skintone Illuminator

Before a couple of years ago I found out that I had pigmentation and discoloration around my face due to extreme exposure to sun. I started researching all kinds of things as to how to give my face more of an even tone. While doing so, I came across Estée Lauder's Idealist which is an illuminator to even out one's skin tone. This thing works like a miracle on my skin. It took around 6 months, but my skin never looked this good. It makes my skin look more luminous and dewy, leaving a super smooth finish. People with normal or combination skin don't even have to use a moisturizer as the serum is so hydrating.

I love how it has a pump, which i prefer any day over a tube or a jar, as I think pumps are the most       hygienic option. I only use one pump, which in my opinion is the more than enough. I follow up with an eye cream and a moisturizer, considering I have super dry skin. I love using it at night as I feel that it gives it more time to work, rather than during the day when I am out and about in the horrible heat. It doesn't have much of a fragrance but it does feel cool after applying it. I have the 50 ml bottle (Rs. 4350) which would last me more than a year. It certainly is on the pricey side, but I would say it is so worth it.

I would definitely purchase it again.

Hey, people reading this space. This is Sharmi. I am currently 20 and trying to figure things out.

I was one of those kids who used to be smitten by the advertisements (believed everything they mentioned) and used to run to a nearby store to buy(not necessarily using) those things. As I grew up, all the eagerness to buy new products kept vanishing away until I spent a year in Australia, where it all started again (this time actually using them). I came across the whole beauty blogging industry, and decided that this was something I wanted to do too.

So here I am finally starting my own blog *too nervous* and sharing my experiences of all things beauty and more.

[P.S: All the reviews that will be posted on the blog will be mine and unless it is a sponsored post, in which case I will clearly state it at the top of the page.]
