What's in My Everyday Bag!

To be honest, I am not much of a carry bag holder person. Not because I don't like them, it's just that the more space I have the more stuff I put in it and it just gets so heavy and uncomfortable after a while. Though, I use one while travelling, just not everyday. I have a different kind of liking for envelope clutches and sling bags. I find them really comfortable to carry around.

I got this bag which is from Miss Selfridge and it is available on It was on a 50% discount and I am not sure if it is still available. Since the day I got it, I have been carrying it around every single day. The fact that it is black in colour helps as it looks good with pretty much anything. Also, it pretty much fits anything. Since a while I have been trying to keep very what all I carry very minimal. This is all I need while on the go.

Now, getting into the contents of the bag, I have:

CARDS: Well, one is a driving license and the other two are store cards. You never know when I might end up shopping.

CASH: Despite having a debit card (not shown here) I like to carry a bit of cash with me just because I feel more practical.

CHEWING GUM: It is basically self explanatory as everybody needs one in their bag. You never know when you might end up meeting someone. Also, it's nice to pop one into the mouth after having meal.

DIARY: Just because I get inspiration from everywhere I go, I need to have something with me to     write them down. Also, I list all my to-dos for that day in this diary. So I need it to check things off and remembering what I have to do.

PEN: To write all the stuff in the diary.

LIP LACQUER: I like to touch up my lips every time I have a lunch outside. I just feel fresh after doing so! Just me?

LIP BALM: Because it is too cold right now. And your lips should always be kissable.

PERFUME SAMPLES: You can get them pretty much anywhere. And as they are so tiny, they are so easy to carry around. I like to have them because I like to smell nice and fresh!

HAIR TIE: Because it is never a good idea to leave your hair open for a whole day.

That's it for this post. Do let me know what all do you carry in your everyday bag.

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

This has been on my wishlist since about a year now. I didn't even know that we could get this in India until about a couple of months ago. But when I saw it, I HAD to get it. Because that's what we beauty lover's do right?

For those who don't know what a beauty sponge is, it is one kind of a makeup applicator, like a brush is. It does not irritate or itch like sometimes a brush does. How it is to be used is to make it damp and then tap on your face with whatever product you're using. It gives my skin such a smooth finish. It even makes me want to buy a foundation. Not that I will be buying it anytime soon, as I am still very happy with my BB Creams. It was one of the best decisions I had taken beauty related. And I am so happy about it. It is a bit slant on one side, making the application on your face and neck really smooth. And for the inner corner of your eyes and for blending in the concealer the pointed side is perfect. When it comes to cleaning it, I guess squeezing it under running water everyday to make it damp kind of cleanses it self. If I come up with a better cleansing method I would definitely post it on the blog.

You can buy it from and it did cost me Rs. 1080. So you might want to buy it while it is on discount.

Have you tried it yet?

January 2015 Favourites

As we all know it is already February 2015 and that can only mean that it is time for me to share my January 2015 Favourites. January was a month where I wanted to solely concentrate on my skincare and so I didn't use much makeup for everyday. Although I have one product that I am in completely love with and which is definitely going to be in my 2015 beauty favourites.

The Body Shop Brazil Nut Shower Cream and Body Scrub: I have been loving The Body Shop Shower products for a long time now and honestly I have gone through probably about 10 different shower gels in the last year! For the winter months I thought I would try the Brazil Nut Shower Cream and Body Scrub. Let me tell you, they are perfect! They just leave your skin feeling so moisturized. They had to be a favourite this month.

L'Oreal Collection Star Pure Reds in Pure Garnet (Sonam Kapoor): I have always been a fan of berry shades on my lips because they require the simplest makeup in order to be able to gain attention. So when L'Oreal came up with it's start collection I had to buy the Sonam Kapoor's shade just because it was so mesmerizing on her. I didn't expect much from the lipstick and honestly bought it only for the colour. But, I fell in love with it and have worn it for about 4 days in a week for the past month and got complimented a lot too. I also did a whole blog post on it which you can read here.

Koovs Pearl Ring and Oh La La Clutch: I have been super obsessed with Koovs lately. It is like the ASOS of India and it houses so many cool brands as well. These both were an impulse buy and as you can figure the risk paid off. I love them both so much. The ring is so simple yet so chic (I have been wearing it everyday since the day I got it) and the clutch fits all things necessary. I would probably style them with a basic white button down shirt, ripped skinny denims and classic black pumps.

John Freida Frizz Off Conditioning Spray: This has to be probably my happiest buy from Flipkart. Have been using it on damp hair before letting it air dry and let me tell you guys, it makes my hair feel so smooth and manageable. It also acts as a heat protectant which is an added bonus, so you can use it before blow-drying or straightening you hair.

Maybelline Eye and Lip Makeup Remover: I am so happy with this product. Just because I didn't expect it too work so well and even then it exceeded my expectations. It removes my eye makeup so instantly without any rubbing and feeling like I want to scratch my eyes out! Same goes with the stubborn lip colours: use this on them and they would go like they were never there! You can read my full review for this product here.

This is it for my January 2015 Favourites. Do let me know your loved products for January in the comment below!
