If you have been reading my blog for a while now you will know that I am a self-confessed lipstick hoarder. I own way too many lipsticks. Let's just say that I own more lipsticks than you can count on your fingers. As much as I love wearing makeup that is very basic and minimal, finishing off my look with a red lipstick is my favourite. Today I am sharing with you my Top 5 Red Lipsticks.

1. Rubis Rouge (157) - Chambor: This was my first ever red lipstick. Actually this was my first lipstick ever. And so this is where my obsession for lipsticks started. It is matte in texture which means that it stays on for about a couple of hours but then it starts bleeding out of the edges. This can be solved by using a similar lip liner before applying this lipstick.

2. Kate Moss (107) - Rimmel: I LOVE this lipstick. I think this is my second one. It is definitely a very dark shade, but it goes with a lot of my outfits. It is one of my most loved out of all the red lipsticks I own. Again it is matte in texture. I don't think there is a lipstick formula that I have tried that is this perfect. I think it is safe to say that this is as good as they come.

3. Pure Scarleto - L'oreal Collection Star Reds: This is one of the more recent addition into my collection of red lipsticks. At first I was a bit confused as to whether to buy it or not, but when I saw  it onBlake Lively, I knew I had to get it. Love the colour, love the formula, the only thing that there is, is that it need reapplication in about an hour or so. Other then that, I love this one.

4. Pure Garnett - L'oreal Collection Star Reds: This is the darkest coloured lipstick I own. It has got a very purple tone to it but when you apply it, it kind of looks vampy red. Again, I bought  this one because I loved it on Sonam Kapoor. The formula is great, but again it needs an often reapplication like the above one.

*I have done a full review of the above two lipsticks which you can read here.

5. Velourlips - Australis: This brand is an Australian brand. I bought it while I was studying in Australia. I think this is the most red lipstick out of all I own. The formula is super matte and it stays on for a long time. The only problem I have with this one is that it dries out my lips because of the super matte formula. And it is one of the Top 5 because I love this shade of red and plus, I don't have to apply it over for the whole night.

Have you got any red lipsticks that you think I should try?
Leave your suggestions and thoughts below in the comments.

5 product makeup {1}

I am all about the minimal look when it comes to makeup. And now that it's summer, I tend to go without any makeup for most days. I would just wear eyeliner, mascara and a nude lipstick. So I thought that there would be many out there who would be like me and so I am introducing yet another series to you guys today: 5 product makeup. I would be creating one look every month using just 5 products.

So here is this month's look:

For the base I have decided to use my trusted Garnier BB Cream. I would then follow up with my Maybelline Dream Lumi Concealor which is perfect because it  not only conceals my dark circles but also, highlights all the high points of my face. I would then use the Maybelline Liquid liner to draw a slight cat eye on my eyes. I would follow it up with the L'oreal Million Lashes Mascara to define my eyes more. To finish off the look I would apply the L'oreal Lip Lacquer in 204 Tanerine Sonate.

I hope you guys liked this new series on my blog. If you have any suggestions then please leave a comment below or mail me on

Until next time.

In the previous post I told you guys about my everyday morning skincare routine (summer edition). Let's talk about my shower routine. When it comes to shower gels/creams I love fruity and flowery scents as opposed to a creamy textured soapy smelling shower cream. Also, I use a scrub every 3 days just to get rid of all the dead skin and tan and for shaving/waxing I prefer shaving in the summer and waxing in the winter. Getting into the routine:

1. For a shower gel/shower cream I prefer The Body Shop. They have so many varieties and especially their gels are my favourite this season. Right now I am using the shower gel from the Argan Oil range. It just smells so freaking good.

2. After shower I use the body butter by The Body Shop in Honey Mania. See, a body moisturizer is a staple in my routine. I would never ever skip it. I think it is more essential to moisturize your body as it gets exposed to the sun the most.

3. For shaving I use the regular Gillette Razor. I think this is the one time use one.

4. Rather than using a shaving cream, I think a conditioner gives the closest shave. I use the Acia Berry and Avocado conditioner by Organix. There's nothing special about it. It just works well for shaving.

As you must have noticed my shower routine is very simple and basic. What is the one product that you love in your routine? Let me know in the comments below.

When it comes to makeup, I love trying new products every now and then. But for skincare I like to stick to a routine for at least about a month or more. It depends on how well the products work together. If they all work well, I would stick to the routine for a longer period but if I don't like the combination, I would just change the product after using it completely. I really like my routine right now but I will most probably change it soon.

1. I would wash my face before anything. I wash it using the Dove Facewash. I have got a real love hate relationship with this facewash. I love it one day and then for some reason I would hate it the next day. I don't even know why. But, it does clean my face well.

2. After facewash, I would directly apply a lip balm. The one I am currently using is by The Body Shop, from it's Argan Oil range.

3. Then I would spray some Vichy Thermal Water on my face and neck to really wake me up. I love this stuff. To know more about it in detail here is the review that I did.

4. I would The Body Shop Aloe Vera toner using a cotton pad. I really like this toner because it doesn't dry my face and for someone with really dry skin this works well.

5. After I let the toner dry, I would use the Garnier Under Eye roll on. I was really very skeptical about this one. I didn't think it would work at all. But, surprise - surprise! It really does work. I don't remember having any under eye bags since the day I started using this.

Tip: Keep it in the fridge for about 15 mins before you use it to get the best results.

6. I finish off my routine with The Body Shop Vitamin E daily moisturizer. I got this about a month ago when it was still winter. I find it works way better now that it's summer.

*I don't think it is fair to include sunscreen in the routine because I am absolutely rubbish at it. I know it is so bad when you don't apply it. I forget to apply it more than half the time but I am trying to be more regular. I am using the VLCC Matte Look Sunscreen Lotion these days.

So this is it for my skincare routine.

Let me know if you have any products that work well for you as I am always on the lookout for new products.

Until next time,

How have you guys been? I have been super busy getting my life together as I was dealing with some issues the whole of last month. Anyways I am now back on the blogging scene and so expect a lot more posts this month and some cool collaborations too. I also started a new series on the blog called THE INTERVIEW where I would be interviewing various people across the world for my blog. I already have two interviews up on my blog. You can read them here and here. If you have any suggestions regarding that or if there is anyone you guys would like me to interview then send me a mail on

Getting onto this month's favourites, I have some rediscovered products and some repurchased products this month.

1. CHI CHI BRONZES EYE SHADOW PALETTE: I have this eye shadow palette since the year 2013. This is the only eye shadow palette I own only because honestly I don't even know how to do a smokey eye. And before I spend about a fortune on the infamous NAKED palettes I wanted to learn to apply eye shadows using this one that I already have. And I am loving it!!!! Wearing an eye shadow completely changes your look and I have been wearing it everyday now. So expect a brand new eye shadow palette in my next beauty haul.

2. RIMMEL SCANDALEYES EYE SHADOW CRAYON in BULLET PROOF BEIGE: I don't think that I have ever mentioned this gem on the blog ever before. I was to tempted to buy an eye crayon after I read Vivianna's post about them. Unfortunately when I went to buy it, they didn't have the brownish one that I wanted, and so I ended up with this one which is kind of a rose gold colour with a lot of shimmer. I have been using this in the inner corners of my eyes and in my inner rims whenever I go out during nights. The colour is so perfect and it glides on perfectly. The only downside is that I have to sharper it. But I can completely ignore it since I love it too much.

3. RIMMEL KATE MOSS LIPSTICK in 19: I have mentioned this lipstick in my Top 5 Lipsticks post. This is my most used lipstick ever. And I have been using it the whole month religiously to just get it done with. But I forgot how much I loved it and so now I don't want it to get over. But it needs to go. So yeah, I love it enough to let it go. #bollywood

4. VICHY THERMAL SPA WATER: I got the small sized bottle of this one and ended up loving it so much that I had to buy a full sized bottle. I love this stuff! Especially because it's summer. It helps me get refreshed instantly! I have written a whole blog post on this which you can read here.

5. GARNIER FRUITIS GOODBYE DAMAGE HAIR OIL: I think I got this a couple of months ago, but I never really used it until now when I realized that my hair was literally getting roasted in this scorching heat, I have decided to oil my hair every single time I wash it. I didn't buy any as I had this one and I am so glad that I decided to use this. It makes my hair so nice after the wash. And has also helped a lot with hairfall.

This is it for this month's favourites.

What were your favourites this month? Let me know it in the comments below.

Until next time.

I first stumbled upon Debasree on Instagram after which I read her blog and started watching her Youtube channel. She is the kind of girl with whom you just want to be best friends with. She writes her blog, uploads regularly on her channel, all while attending fabulous events and having breakfast with Bethany Mota (Go on over to her Youtube channel to see what I am taking about). With over 1600 subscribers she has more than 80000 views on her channel and she is growing so much more everyday.

Read on to find out a little bit more about her:

1.       What made you start your own blog and your YouTube channel?
I am an avid reader of various beauty blogs and I stumbled upon the beauty community one lonely night, back in 2008, when I was in the 1st year of college. I remember watching a few youtubers, who had just started their channel talking about their makeup “hauls” and their favourite mascaras, lipsticks etc and something about those videos and blog posts really caught my attention. I have never looked back ever since. 2012 was when I realised that I could do this too, and this is exactly what I want to do, so I went ahead and started a blog and Youtube channel of my own.

2. Was it scary to leave your job in order to be able to blog and vlog full time?
To be honest, it was. I stay in a very expensive city and even when I was working, more than half of what I earned went into my rent and bills. I think financially it was scary but emotionally it was exhilarating. I have never been happier, and I think this is the best decision that I have made. This is the age when I can take risk and chances, and I am so glad that I did.

3. Your most cherished blogging/vlogging moment?
When a viewer, who knows I have never seen snow, sent me a video of snowfall from her window. It was so thoughtful and made me go all mushy and teary eyed. Also, when I received an invitation to attend the Youtuber Mixers and Youtube India subscribing to my channel. That was the best feeling ever.

 4. If you had to choose, would you go with only blogging or only vlogging.
I think I will go with vlogging, I love talking and watching youtube videos is how I found the beauty world. I started my blog because I was too shy to talk in front of the camera, and didn’t have the equipment. So if I had to go only one thing, I will choose Youtube.

5. What was your first make up item that you ever bought?
This is a really difficult question, but I think it has to be kohl. I remember it was the big fat Lakmé kajal, and I used to end up looking like a raccoon by the end of the day.

6. Three things your viewers don’t really know about you?
 1) I am a movie buff; I don’t usually talk about this online and don’t discuss the things I like to watch. I watch A LOT of movies and series.
2) I am very lazy, and a professional procrastinator.
 3) I am surgically attached to my phone and laptop.
7. One quote that you live by?
Do what you love, and love what you do. & Dreams don’t work unless you do. Sorry, that’s two!

8. Your top 5 makeup items would be?
Maybelline The Falsies Mascara, Naked 2 Palette, Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Beso, Bourjois 123 perfect CC cream, Nuxe Reve De Miel Lip balm, and a highlighter from a brand called TEEN TEEN professional that I picked up from a random store.

9. What one tip you would like to give to anyone who wants to start a blog or a YouTube channel?
Be consistent.

10. Do you think outer appearance and inner beauty go hand in hand?
I think it does, if you have positive and happy thoughts, they radiate on your face and vice versa. However, it’s always a bad idea to judge a book by its cover.

11. What is the top 3 most played songs on your Iphone right now?
1) Hero, Family of the Year.
2) Waves, Mr Probz Remix.
3) Hideaway, Keisza.
12. How do you deal with any hate that you receive on the internet.

Thankfully I haven’t received too much hate on my Youtube channel or blog, but everyone is entitled to an opinion and you can’t please everyone. I actually have this really funny theory in my head that the day I will get my 1st hate comment, I know I have made it. ;)

13. Where do you see yourself in five years?
I see myself happy, content, and established.

14. What’s going to be next on your blog/YouTube channel?
