I first came across Faith's page while going through my Instagram suggestions. I was so struck by her account which then led me to her wonderful blog: That's Just Fabulous. Her pictures, the products she tries, her outfit posts, just everything was so nice and it still is. Also, she just completed two years of blogging! Congrats Faith :) So, if you're not one of her 10k+ followers then let me tell you, you're missing out. In this interview she talks to me about her inspiration behind her blog, her photography tricks and what she's currently loving.

What got you interested in the whole blogging scene?
All through college I followed bloggers like Cupcakes & Cashmere and Love Taza and always loved the whole idea of it all. At that point though I didn’t think it was anything I could do myself. After graduation and moving into the city, I had a lot of friends who began to encourage me to start a blog. They loved the photos I posted just to my personal Facebook, Instagram, etc and I had a really nice camera that was just sitting around not getting much use. Two summers ago I picked up my camera and began creating posts and it has evolved from there.

You have been blogging for almost two years now, did it change anything in you?
Absolutely - it created an entirely new passion for me, and I’ve made some of my best friends through my blog. I’m also someone who does better when I’m super busy (I’m either 200mph or 2mph I always say). So having a blog along with my full time career keeps me busy and productive. It also helps me appreciate the down time even more.

As we can all agree, you are quite a photographer and I swear your pictures are goals! Would you like to share your secret trick with us? :)
Thank you so much, I’ve actually never taken a photograph class/lesson so that’s such a sweet compliment! It’s taken me two years to hit a point where I’m really pleased with them. Natural light is by far the most important aspect to my photos. I’m really picky about when I shoot and how the lighting looks. I also spend a lot of time making sure each product/item is in sharp focus. I’ll take dozens of photos of the same shot just to make sure I get one super clear image. I shoot in manual as well so I can control the lighting.
Also, don’t be afraid to play with layout mid shooting. Often I’ll come up with an idea in my head, lay it all out, like how it looks, and then it photographs terribly. At that point I’ll just began grabbing items, rearranging, and reshooting. Sometimes looking at a layout through the lens can help you to see it a whole new way.

Your essentials this summer?
A light base - right now I’m completely obsessed with Chanel’s CC Cream (it also has a crazy high SPF of 50), a great waterproof mascara (I often ditch my liquid liner when the temperatures spike, so full on lashes that don’t smudge are a must), St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse, and a good sea salt spray!

I think YouTube is the thing people hop onto after blogging. Have you ever been tempted to start a YouTube channel?
I have, very much so. I’ve tested video a bit here and there but am not thrilled with the results using my current lens. I think once I decide to upgrade my lens it’ll be a bit easier to transition to video and be happy with it all. (Also, I hate hearing myself talk back in recordings. So cringe worthy! So I’ll have to get over that as well!)

What are your Top 5 blogs that you turn for inspiration on those demotivated days?
I actually turn to YouTube quite often when I’m feeling a bit of a blogging block. I find that since it’s a bit of a different medium but still very much the same, it’s easier to gather inspiration and not end up copying someone. My favorites are Hello October, Hey Claire, and Tanya Burr. Latasha from Today I Adore has stunning photography though - I always find such inspiration in her photos!

If you were asked to chose only one brand for your makeup, which one would you pick?
Possibly the hardest question ever! I feel like due to the overwhelming amount of it in my makeup stash I’d have to go with NARS, they just do so many products right. But…I also have a serious sweet spot for Tom Ford and have never disliked a product he makes.

How would you describe your style in 3 words?
Minimal, neutral, oversized LOL

Sleek, neutral, dewy

And finally, any advice that you would like to give to anyone who wants to start a blog?
Don’t be discouraged by numbers! Create a blog, content, and posts for yourself - not for others. It never matters to me if one person or one hundred people are reading my posts as long as I love what I have created. Post as regularly as you can, but always remember quality over quantity. It’s better to not post for a day and spend a bit more time getting the post right than throwing up a post you’re only half pleased with. If you love and are passionate about what you are putting out there, other people will love it too and you’ll grow an organic and interactive audience.

Love, Tanya

I have read so many books in my life. I actually have about 150 books on my bookshelf right now. They range from Nancy Drews to #GirlBoss. I have been loving books with success stories recently. To me they provide me motivation to move ahead in difficult times and to be honest I just love success stories.

When I saw the news about Tanya's Love, Tanya, I immediately knew that I had to buy the book. It is her story. Where she came from till where she is now. She dishes out on all her secrets, from her first ever job till meeting her fiance Jim Chapman to telling us all her fashion secrets.

If I don't skip over a single chapter of the book I am reading, it is probably going to stay with me my whole life. This book, it's amazing. It is so perfect to read on a rainy day with a hot cup of coffee. And one thing you need to keep in mind! You wouldn't dare procrastinate after reading this book. It just makes you want to get up and work as hard as you can. It also makes a perfect book for your coffee table.

So basically I am in love with this book. Go order yours now!

Until next time,

Hey Hey! In the last post I talked about all things that I bought from SEPHORA. In this one I am mentioning a few bits from Victoria's Secret, a blush and then a dry shampoo.

First up are these amazing Victoria's Secret Body Mist. I wanted to try these for so long but I just thought that somehow they are going to be cheaper if I buy them from outside India. And as it turns out, I was right! I got it for about 60% discount. The frangrances that I bought were Simply Breathless, Sheer Love, and Pure Daydream. The blush that I got was from Maybelline's Bouncy collection. It's in the shade 50 Plum Wine. And the last thing for the entire haul is this dry shampoo by Dove. I am pretty impressed with the results and so expect a full review soon.

This is it for my Dubai Haul. Have you bought anything recently? Do let me know in the comments below or mail me on

I am a shopaholic by all means. Saying that I have stopped hoarding products just because I was getting so uncomfortable seeing things just piling up. I think it is an OCD! So when I knew I was going to DUBAI for a short holiday, I immediately started making a list of all things I wanted to buy, but I also started using things up so that I have enough space to keep the new things.

We went to the Dubai Mall on the third day of our stay, and I obviously had to pay a visit to SEPHORA! I have to admit I was pretty fascinated by the array of products they store. I wanted to buy everything and I still want to. But given the limited budget these are the only products I bought.

I bought three eye brushes from the Sephora brand: one for the lid, one for the crease and the third one for cream shadow. Then from the Benefit counter I had to pick the Pore-fessional because I have heard so much about it, and then I also picked up the gimme brow and their latest mascara launch: Roller Lash. From the Urban Decay counter I picked up their ever so famous eye primer and last but no the least I also picked up a cream shadow from the Sephora brand. I will be posting the reviews on all these products soon.

Again, I am not yet done with the haul. There is a Part - 2 coming tomorrow so make sure you tune in on the blog this time tomorrow.

Until next time,

DUBAI 2015

If you are following me on all my social media accounts then you would know that I went to DUBAI for my holidays in May. I fell in love with the place. I haven't been to a place which feels so new yet feels completely like home. We did all the touristy things like visiting Burj Khalifa, Desert Safari and even sitting on the World's Fastest Roller Coaster! So here are some of the pictures from my trip. I won't include stuff like where we stayed or ate, just because it would be a long post then. But if you are planning to visit the place and want some ideas then feel free to leave a comment down below or you can even email me at

Also, these images are in no particular order! :)

Until next time,

As much as I love technology and it's various boons to mankind, I hate when it just gives up on me! My laptop suddenly decided to crash last week while I was in middle of a post. Well done LAPTOP! But now that I have found a temporary replacement I am back to writing my May Favourites for you guys!

May was amazing for me. I went to DUBAI which is one of the best places I have ever been to. The best part about it is that it makes you feel like you're at your home. I know I might sound a bit weird but that's what I feel.

This month's favourites are a little bit different. I have got some beauty, some footwear and even an accessory!

1. ALDO SLIP ONS : Did something ever happen to you where you went to a store to buy something else and you walk out with something completely different? It happens to me all the time. So when I went to ALDO this time I wanted to buy a pair of nude pumps! And guess what I walked out with? Yeah! These Slip Ons. They are my new best friends. I wear them with dresses, jumpsuits, jeans and even skirts. Go on to my Instagram here to see how I wear them with a ton of different outfits.

2. BOOHOO SUNGLASSES: I kind of have an obsession with sunglasses and I blame Instagram for it! Especially the over-sized ones. They look so cool! Plus they help cover my big ass nose!

3. MAYBELLINE BABY LIPS in OH! ORANGE: I took this with me to DUBAI with a couple of other lipsticks and to my utmost surprise I found myself reaching for this one more than my lipsticks! I guess it is because it gives my lips such a wonderful orange tint and it is moisturizing too! If you want to know more on what I think about it, I have a whole blogpost dedicated to it, which you can read here.

4. YES TO CLEANSER: This product has become my all time favourite. It cleanses so well and plus it is so moisturizing and it doesn't break me out. Is there anything better than this? I also have a blogpost on this cleanser which you can read here.

5. THE BODY SHOP VITAMIN E SINK IN MASK: Woah! That is an actual product name. This product has been my staple for the whole of my DUBAI trip. i used it every other night and used to sleep with this on. It is kind of an over night mask but you can rub off the excess once you leave it on for about 10 mins. It makes you skin feel like a baby in the morning!

6. REVLON blush in FLUSHED ROUGGISSANT: I have had this for a year now but I couldn't get myself to use it. But I saw the perfect opportunity to carry it with me to DUBAI and I am so glad I did. It gave me the perfect blush but keeping it all natural and the best part? You don't even need a brush to apply it.

This is it for this month's favourites.

Did you love something way too much this month? Be it a movie, a song or even a lipstick. Share your favourites in the comments down below.

Until next time,
Sharmi Shah
