2016

What a year 2016 has been! So much has changed. So much has happened.

- I finally graduated with a major in Marketing and minor in Human Resources. My graduation was long overdue because of some unplanned decisions and immature lifestyle choices. But I've never let anything stop me from moving onto the next step. So I moved back home and finished my graduation! I was so proud of myself!

- Because this is a post about 2016 achievements I most definitely have to include a Hospitality Management Diploma, which to be honest I did only because I was bored of just going to college and plus I didn't have many certificates in my name. I actually finished it and again exceeded my own expectations.

- Then came the best day of 2016. I was in Mumbai for a wedding and ended up giving an Interview for an internship at the current company I work at. First, I was so sure I was never going to get hired! But I did! AND I even managed to score a permanent place at the company.

- I took a trip to Vietnam - one of the best places I've traveled to with my family. We were there for about 10 days. We got to stay in the heart of the city where we could just walk and experience the locality. Also got to eat the Vietnamese food which was so good. Yeah 2016 was a year where I got way too excited about food!

- Blogging wise this year was the biggest slump! But I finally got it redesigned and now I'm more motivated then ever to bring you fresh and content that I as a reader would love to read!

I'm so excited for 2017! I'm going to try and make it so much better than 2016. This year for once I'm not setting any goals for myself. I'm just going go ahead and welcome each and every opportunity with open arms. Moreover my one thought about 2017 is that I just want to learn as much as I can. Whether it is Photoshop or learning how to design a website. I just want to learn.

Have the best year you guys! All the best for all that you wish to achieve in 2017!

Oh Baby You Should Go And Love Yourself

Is fat really the worst thing a human being can be? Is fat worst that vindictive, jealous, shallow, evil, vain, boring, or cruel? - J.K. Rowling

I wasn't always overweight. Actually to be honest I don't even know what term should I be using to describe my shape - big, fat, overweight, plump, etc. The reason for me being unable to describe myself is because I have never accepted the fact that I'm either of those things. The only thing I've accepted for a fact is that I've gained about 15 kilos in the last 4 years. And that's okay. Maybe I should have been more careful in watching what I eat, but it's not the end of the world. Initially I wasn't as confident. I used to get asked this all the time - What happened? - How did you gain so much weight? - Why aren't you doing anything about it? - While yes I do agree that I should have done something about it because I feel very very unhealthy, it's nobody's business and it's just rude to ask someone about their weight or shape.

Right now I'm the most confident about my weight that I've ever been in the past. There's a little hack to it: Start uploading more and more pictures of yourself out on all your active social media accounts. I'm not talking selfies, I'm talking full length pictures of yourself. It's very important to know that the world (people who don't know you exist) doesn't simply care what we size we are, it's just us who build a notion around ourselves about the whole world judging us about the way we look. We're all beautiful. Everyone has a different idea of what beautiful is, so technically we're all beautiful for that some person!

YES. I am a person who gets intimidated very very easily. I see a beautiful picture of someone and I'd go like damn! I wish I had that butt or wish I had those abs. But I've come to terms with the fact that, if I want a particular shape, I'm going to have to work towards it without ever looking back and with a sense of commitment which to be fair I've never had. Maybe next year I'll start working towards my dream body or the year after that, or maybe never, who cares! I'm just having too much fun having my desserts and my greasy food. Saying that (this should be a reminder for myself) I do need to make tiny changes in my lifestyle because I'm starting to run out of breath every time I go up a flight of stairs. That's something I need to start changing. Though not a FITTER Lifestyle (yet), I want to start working towards a HEALTHIER Lifestyle.

If you're reading this and you've ever faced body image issues, please just get up - dress yourself in the best outfit you own - put some makeup on - and get on with your daily goals. Oh and don't forget to say YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL to yourself in the mirror.

Fashion Terms You Need To Know

2016 has been a fantastic year for all things fashion. With 90s making an epic comeback with chokers, overalls and brown lips we also saw the junior Hadid taking over the fashion scene while Instagram is now basically SnapChat without the invigorating filters. Also, makeup videos is basically what you scroll through your Instagram suggestions. Keeping up with Fashion is hard and keeping up with the Fashion Lingo is even harder! But lets not fret about it! I've got you covered.

1. Avant Garde:
This is one term you'll most commonly hear or read around. It basically means people or works that are experimental, radical, or unorthodox, with respect to art, culture, and society. The avant-garde pushes the boundaries of what is accepted as the norm or the status quo, primarily in the cultural realm.

2. Pret-a-porter
This term is generally used to describe the designer clothes sold ready to wear rather than made to measure.

3. Haute Couture:
One of the most commonly used terms, this term describes expensive, fashionable clothes produced by leading fashion houses.

4. Sartorial:
We use this one so often. Derived from the Latin term – Sartorius, it is used to describe clothing, manner, and or style of a dress.

5. Silhouette:
Utilized often in fashion and fitness, it is simply describes the shape of the body. That aside, a silhouette can also be a shape created after you have worn a certain style.

Where the hell have I been?

(Dress: Zara; Heels: New Look; Earrings: H&M)

Living my dreams.
That's exactly where I have been. Back in December when I was in the whole YouTube phase, I had mentioned in one of my videos that how after graduating I'd love to move to Mumbai. Somehow I did manage to do that. I decided to move here within a day of my interview. I started out as an intern at this fabulous company. I'm still working there after about 6 months, but now as a permanent member of the family. Mumbai as a city is exceptional! This is one city that definitely never sleeps. I love it. Maybe one day I will call it my home too. Career wise, although it's pretty soon to say, but I'm in a very happy place. So my job description includes me partially handling the social media accounts and assisting the founder of my company on her blog. It's definitely been a dream come true. Have learned so much, got answers to so many questions relating to blogging and more importantly got the understanding that it is undoubtedly a very tough job to be a blogger.

On the other hand, I cut my hair pretty short! Since then I've been having a very love - hate relationship with it. Also, to be honest I want my long hair back. Health-wise, still been very lazy. Really need to get out of this rut and get back in shape. Not because I'm uncomfortable in this size or form, it's just that I really feel very unhealthy at this point and guys, eating out almost everyday does not go easy on the pocket and definitely not on the body. Hopefully once I start looking after myself, I do stick to it this time around.

Blogging has definitely taken a back seat at this moment. I wasn't loving where the blog was going. Half of the things I was doing was to get more views or more followers. And honestly, that's the worst way to go about it. One crucial rule that I've come across while learning the dos and donts of blogging is to not do it for the money or the fame but to do it for the passion. Although I was getting a lot of engagement while doing the popular stuff, I wasn't personally happy with it. Now that I feel like I've found what I really would love to do, I'm going to go at it with whatever I have. Although I'm bad with keeping promises, I am going to try and have at least one post a week here on the blog pretty soon onwards.

I guess I have rambled enough for one post. So see you guys with a new post pretty soon!

I have always had a thing for travelling. For me travelling always meant a lot more than the usual perimeter of taking endless pictures in various poses at just the tourist sites. I’ve always had a thing for exploring the place as a local. So when I finally shifted to Mumbai, since the first day I knew I wanted to visit all the places around here.

So after weeks of debating on where to go to, we finally decided to visit Lavasa. Lavasa is a private, planned city being built near Pune. It is stylistically based on the Italian town Portofino, they look so alike! It has got stunning orange, yellow and red buildings which makes it extremely Instagram worthy. There’s also a lake right in the middle of the town where you can choose to do a water sport of your liking. I have actually been to lavasa before, but it was with my parents. This time along it was a completely different experience. We stopped to have some corn on the cob on the way and it was the most delicious corn I’ve ever had. The weather itself was so perfect. It was gloomy but pleasant. Though the rains while on the way back almost made me think this is it! This is how I’m going to die! (Exaggerating but my thoughts were definitely along these lines somewhere).

As I’ve always been a firm believer of pictures being worth a thousand words, here’s the whole photo diary of our day trip!

Until next time,
Sharmi Shah

L'oreal Paris Colour Riche Collection Exclusive Pinks

Lipsticks would always be my answer when it comes to picking up a favourite makeup item. They can transform your entire look plus they are just so gorgeous! I own about 60 lipsticks now and I still am buying more. I tried to stop myself but it just isn't happening. Although I now only buy shades I can wear every day rather than just buying colours which I won't get much use out of. When L'oreal Paris India released their Colour Riche Exclusive Pinks collection, I tried to put off buying them for around three months but then when I hit a blogging milestone I thought it was the perfect time to invest in these pretty babies.

In the collection they launched 6 lipsticks after 6 of it's global ambassadors. They retail for Rs. 995.

Liya Kebede
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Jennifer Lopez
Blake Lively
Eva Longoria
Naomi Watts

With this collection they also launched 5 liquid lipsticks which were again named after another 5 of it's global ambassadors. These retail for Rs. 950.

Julianne Moore
Fan Bingbing
Sonam Kapoor
Gong Li
Katrina Kaif

And finally with these they released 3 nail polishes as well named after L'oreal's Indian ambassadors. These polishes retail for Rs. 299.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan
Katrina Kaif
Sonam Kapoor

I got myself the lipsticks in the Blake's and Eva's shades. I was more drawn towards Eva's shade as it looks like the perfect everyday wear muted pink lipstick. Blake's shade is a little too pink for my taste but then I will make it work as a stain or maybe actually as a lipstick too. Depends on my mood to be really honest. The formula of all L'oreal lipsticks is always so spot on. They last long enough and don't ever dry your lips. I think L'oreal lipsticks are well worth their money.

Have you tried any from this collection? Leave your recommendations from the range in the comments below.

Until next time,

I'm one such person for whom planning is everything. If I don't plan something the chances are that, the thing won't be done at all. I am also a stationary hoarder. If it is cute and I know I'll use it probably someday then that thing goes straight into my basket. I didn't use to own a planner before this. All I had was a to do list where I'd write my everyday stuff and cross them out once I was done. But then last year in December I thought it was high time to get a bit more organized and get myself a planner. Now this is not your ordinary planner. This planner doesn't have the monthly and weekly layouts. And personally I prefer it this way because then I don't end up wasting pages if I don't have something to do that day.

I bought this planner from the uber cool store
This place is seriously the best to buy stationary or cool home ware items.
So this planner has eight sections in all and is super affordable. As you can see from the photo below, I start the day by writing something that I'm thankful for in the "Thank you Universe For" section.

Then I move down and plan my Social Media list for the day. If I am posting a post that day or posting on Instagram about new deliveries whatever it is that I have to post across all my social media accounts.

Then I move to the right and schedule the day as to where I have to be or what I have to do in "Places to be".

Then I move down to the "To Do List" where I plan out my activities for the day.

Then I move to the left and write down the most important things I need to focus on that day in "Focus On". It may be studying or even a manicure. Different priorities for different days.

Then I move to the upper right corner and list down people whom I have to contact regarding various stuff in "Contacts"

Moving down in "Random Musings" I generally write down my workout for the day.

Then at last, when the day ends I (try) to make a nice little doodle about the day in the bottom left corner where it says "Doodle of the day". I think this is the cutest idea ever to describe your day.

I know for most of you the planner which has monthly and weekly pages might be a lot more easier but I don't think I'll get much use of such planners as I am just getting the hang of being organized. So far so good. I actually find myself finishing my work if I have it all written down in this planner. I think this planner actually makes me more productive.

What planners do you guys use? You can send me a picture or maybe just link it down below. Would love to see what other options are there.

Until next time,
Sharmi Shah

Summer Makeup

It's here! It's here! Summer is officially here!
Finally the season of bright pink lips and coral blushes! The best thing about wearing makeup in summers is that you always look so fresh and dewy. That's the makeup I love wearing. Something that isn't too heavy yet manages to even out my skin and adds a bit of colour to my face. For primer, I went with the Nivea Post Shaving Balm which primes my face for the base perfectly. I went with the L'oreal Infallible 24 Hr Foundation for my base. I only use about a pump or two which is enough to give me a medium coverage and doesn't feel as heavy on my face. To powder I used my trusted Rimmel Stay Matte powder which helps my makeup stay on for a long time while still making it look dewy. I kind of cheated on the blush department. I used a lipstick as a blush. I mean why not!? I used the Revlon lipstick in Fuchsia to give my cheeks a subtle hint of rosy blush. For my eyes I wanted to keep things really simple and so I went with this light brown colour from this Collection palette. Maybelline's Colossal Eyeliner in Super Black has been a staple for my eyeliner. It stays on for so long and it's a pain to remove it at night but I still love it. With that I also use the Maybelline Falsies mascara. I am really having a moment with Maybelline these days! Also for lips I'm really hoarding on L'oreal lipsticks. I have now 7 lipsticks from them! It's crazy I know but they are just so darn good. So I went for this one from it's Exclusive Pinks collection in Eva's Delicate Rose. More on the collection coming up later this week.

This is it for this look.
I keep switching on the lips and eye shadows but more or less these are the only products I have using this month.

What has been your staple this month? Leave your recommendations in the comments below!

Until next time,

Nykaa Nail Polishes

It's been raining new releases in the beauty world. With new tons of new products being released there are always only some that catch my eye. I honestly have never given into the whole hype behind a single product. I like to buy it once everybody stops talking about it. But sometimes, I see something that I have to buy immediately and I absolutely have to have it. One such range is this one by Nykaa. Nykaa recently added nude shades to it's nail enamel collection. They have 7 wonderful colours perfect for all occasions. They have got the nicest formula which lasts for a good 3-4 days before it starts to chip. They come at a price for Rs. 179 for 10 ml which is super affordable for such a nice colour range and formula.

The shades mentioned below go from left to right:

Gingernut Biscuit No. 52
Cinnamon Bun No. 13
Caramel Macchiato No. 53
Candy Crush No. 11
Lavender Buttercream No. 54
Tiramisu Treat No. 51
Earl Grey Tea Cake No. 57

I love all the shades so much but my absolute favourites will have to be the Gingernut Biscuit, Caramel Macchiato and Tiramisu Treat.

You can see me wearing them on my Instagram: stayinoui.

I am the least experimental when it comes to hair products. I like to stick to what works and as a result I rarely ever change my hair care routine. Since the last 6 months my hair care routine consists of only a shampoo followed by a serum. The serum I am using right now is the Dove Elixir Hair Fall Rescue. I bought it from It comes in a 90 ml glass bottle and it cost me Rs. 185 which is really reasonable because this is going to last me at least for a year. Coming to the packaging, I'm in love! This packaging is so gorgeous. It comes with dried roses inside the bottle which gives it a really exotic look. It smells so divine as well. The consistency of this is a little bit thinner than the regular hair serums in the market. I use a couple of pumps on towel dried hair and just run the product through them dividing it evenly. I don't have a hair fall problem so I can't report on that aspect but it works perfectly well as a regular hair serum for me. It consists Almond Oil with Rose Petals inside it. It makes my hair feel healthier.

Is it completely outstanding? No! There definitely are better ones out there but for the price, it doesn't get better than this.

What is the hair product you're loving currently? Leave your answers in the comments down below.

When it comes to online shopping and sales, they're just a match made in heaven for me. So when was having their Holi Sale I knew it was time to spend some cash. I dont remember the exact offers as they had different everyday but I got some pretty amazing deals. Also I thought it was the perfect time to get my hands on some new brands. Some of these items were on my wishlist since so long and some where just an impulse purchase. So let's see what I ended up buying. I'm going to review all of these items separately soon and so I will just be linking them below in this post.

As I mentioned earlier the reviews for all these above products will be up on the blog super soon.

Until next time,

This year one of my biggest resolutions beauty wise was to find and try different brands than what is just trending so that I can have a bit of a diversity on the blog. The major reason for doing this was because I realized that there are so many hidden gems out there that just don't get enough attention because the brand is not as popular. Freedom is a brand that I saw in the recommendations section on Freedom has an amazing range of different palettes, highlighters and lipsticks. When it comes to trying a new brand, I always buy the eye products first. Whether it is a eye liner, mascara or shadows. So when I saw such a wide range of palettes I knew I had to buy one.

So I went for the PRO 12 AUDACIOUS 3 palette which offers 12 amazing matte and shimmery shades. The pigmentation of the shimmery shades is serious. But the matte shades come off a bit lighter. For me that is not a problem at all because I prefer my mattes to be a bit toned down so I can work with them easily. The shades are right up my alley. They are earthy toned which are only kinds I like to use. It has got a pretty shimmery pink as well which would be perfect for the inner corner of my eyes. I can actually see myself getting a lot of use out of this one, even the shimmery ones because they are just so beautiful.

I think this cost me around Rs. 1000 on sale price. It originally retails for Rs. 1200.
You can click here if you want to buy the palette for yourself.

This palette was also mentioned in my March 2016 Favourites which you can read here.

Have you tried any new brands recently?
Let me know your recommendations in the comments below.

Until next time,

March was such a fantastic month for me. There were so many great moments this past month. I turned 22 and I finally am a graduate. I have finally figured out a path in which I want my career to go. So overall this month has been the best birthday month out of these 22 years! It was a month of a lot of new makeup and new brand discoveries. So let's get right into all my favourite things from this past month.

1. HIMALAYA NEEM FACE WASH: This is such a classic product when it comes to cult beauty products from India. It is a very basic face wash with the goodness of Neem and Turmeric: two ingredients which help in preventing pimples. Since I had tons of weddings to attend this past month, I was wearing a lot more makeup than I am generally used to. So as a result I found some random spots popping up here and there. This face wash was just lying around in my stash of products and so I thought why not give it a try. And boy does it work! I takes a couple of days for your skin to clear up but it works so well!

2. L'OREAL LIPSTICK IN 257: I got this lipstick from a sale section at Target while I was studying in Australia. I recently used up my Rimmel Kate Moss in No. 19 which was the best everyday shade for me. So naturally after that one I was on a search for another perfect everyday lip shade. I looked into my million lipsticks and found this one. It is a perfect muted pinkish nude lip for this Summer. I'm so in love!

3. LA ROCHE POSAY CICAPLAST: My skin was not on a good behaviour this past month since I was wearing a lot more makeup and I was tired all the time as it was the last month of my degree and plus I had like a 100 weddings to attend. So I was on a lookout for something that would heal my skin while not being too heavy on the skin as India summers are the worst to wear heavy creams during the day. Then one fine day I found this little gem. I am going to post a full review on this next week sometime. But for now you guys should know that I'm in love with this little gem!

4. MAYBELLINE COLOSSAL KAJAL SUPER BLACK: I had been using liquid liner since about 7-8 months and as much as I love it, I was getting so bored of it. So as usual I was browsing the net for any new releases and I ended up buying this new release from Maybelline. It is the Super Black version of their ever so famous Colossal Kajal. This eyeliner is literally so black! It doesn't budge or smudge at all! The full review will be coming up on the blog super soon.

5. FREEDOM PRO 12 AUDACIOUS 3 EYESHADOW PALETTE: I have a soft spot for palettes. I think they are the most beautiful things ever. So whenever I get a chance I buy one. This is my latest edition to my collection and I am so happy with it. It comes with a perfect balance of shimmery and matte shades and they are quite pigmented as well. What's not to love?

6. RIMMEL STAY MATTE POWDER: This is such a cult product in the whole of the blogging community and has been a favourite of mine since about 4 years now. I think that I have mentioned this in a favourites post before as well. It does deserve all the attention it gets. It makes my makeup last so much longer without making it look cakey! That's the only thing I look for in a good powder and it's safe to say that this is one of the best one drugstore has to offer.

So as you can see this past month I discovered some new bits and re discovered some old ones. What have your favourites been this past month?
Let me know your favourites in the comments below.

Until next time,
Sharmi Shah

I don't know about you, but I'm feeling 22!

I turned 22 this Monday and I'm so loving it! I celebrated it with an intimate dinner with just my family. I think I've just grown out of the party scene probably because I haven't partied in so long. As it was my birthday month, I kind of wanted to get a bit more into makeup so I could have my birthday dinner look down. For base I reached out for this Cambor Orosa Skin Foundation. This gives my skin such a dewy and smooth finish while providing a decent coverage. I then follow up with this Rimmel Stay Matte Powder just so that everything stays in plays all day long. For blush I used this one by Maybelline ColourShow in Creamy Cinnamon. As the summer is almost upon us I thought this coral powder blush would just be enough to add a bit of a colour to my cheeks. For eyes I really needed to take a break from the liquid eyeliner and mascara combo. So instead I just opted for this eye shadow stick by ColorBar in Blush 002. For lips I went with this very muted pink colour from L'oreal Paris' Brunettes Collection in 257.

As usual my make was very minimalistic. Once I graduate which will be in two weeks. I am planning to actually start experimenting a bit more.

Until next time,
Sharmi Shah

Since a couple of years ago I was so scared of using foundations just because I thought they were only one kind - heavy! Fast forward to today and I've got a whole pile of them in my collection now. The latest entry in the heap is the Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation by Maybelline. This foundation is actually meant for Normal to Oily skin types and I've got the driest skin on earth (probably). Saying that my T zone has been getting a lot more oilier recently and so I thought I'd give this foundation a try. Before applying this foundation I used the Nivea Post Shaving Balm as a primer. My first impressions of this foundation was how smoothly it glides on and surprisingly it did make my pores look smaller than usual. I am not a huge fan of matte bases and this as it turns out is not completely matte. It kinda leaves this sheen on and it makes me look really fresh. This comes in 6 shades so there's a shade for every skin tone. I don't absolutely love this foundation but I don't hate it as well. So I definitely will be using this one just maybe not that often. It might work perfectly for someone with a skin that is a bit more normal than mine.
Have you tried this foundation yet?
What are you thoughts on it?
Let me know your views in the comments section below.

Until next time,
Stay. Incredible.

As I turned 22 recently I thought it was time for me to share a little more about me with you guys. So let's get right into it.

1. I am from India and I live in Jamnagar which is a tiny but lovely town in the state of Gujarat.

2. I am really impatient. If that thing takes time, I'm simply not doing it.

3. I also get bored very easily. I think it is a real problem and I'm trying to change it.

4. I've had the weirdest accidents ever. Like this one time we went horseback riding and the horse fell on my leg and that's how I got a fracture. Like who does this ever happen to!

5. At one point in life I wanted to have a career in dance. I have been trained in Kathak for 4 years. I also love Contemporary and Salsa.

6. Taking career aspirations into consideration, I wanted to become an air hostess, a teacher, a fashion designer and an actor. I was a teenager then!

7. In 2011 I had green and blue highlights in my hair. Though they weren't very visible and washed out after about 5-6 washes.

8. I love to plan ahead. Like if I haven't written anything down for tomorrow, I'd procrastinate like crazy and end up wasting the whole day on irrelevant stuff.

9. Saying that I still don't know what I want to do say in the coming two years except like growing my blog 10000 times.

10. I'm the absolute worst when it comes to saving money and this is something I have been working on really hard too. God! There is so much I need to fix about me.

11. I have never had any favourites in my life. Like I love almost all colours, all kinds of food, etc. I think this is because I'm really indecisive or maybe I'm just an unbiased person after all! ;)

12. I am a vegetarian and always have been. Though I almost ate a pepperoni pizza thinking they were tomatoes on my very first night in Australia. There's no logic as to why I would think that but they just looked like tomatoes on the website!

13. I have traveled so much around the world thanks to my wonderful parents. But there is still so much more to see and I cannot wait to travel more. Someday I wish to settle down either in Mumbai, Dubai or in Australia.

14. I'm a complete book worm. I must have at least a 100 books in my collection right now. I have books that range from Nancy Drews to Lauren Conrad's Beauty Book.

15. I've got one tattoo and it says "It all happens for a reason". There are two more that I plan to get. Hopefully soon.

16. Orange Juice is my most favourite beverage to have. I can drink OJ with any food. Literally any. Oh and I'm a dessert person. If It was up to me I'd order desserts first and then start the meal.

17. I have a serious obsession with sunglasses! I have about 10 pairs and I just ordered two more!

18. I am a serious stationary hoarder. If I see anything cute at all, I have to buy it otherwise I'll keep thinking about it.

19. I love watching mystery and crime shows the most. Criminal Minds, CSI, Hawaii Five-O, etc. I just love how interesting and gripping they are.

20. FRIENDS is my all time favourite Tv series. But I have never been able to get myself to watch season 10 because I'm so afraid for it to finish and I know I'm going to cry so much.

21. I'm a very emotional person when it comes to my Dad. I generally don't cry but when I see my Dad being emotional or upset or anything within those terms, my waterworks just wouldn't stop.

22. I love going on long drives with music on full blast! I don't care if I'm alone or have got 10 other people with me. I just absolutely love going on long drives.

So these were 22 pretty random facts about me.

As I would love to know you guys a bit more please leave some facts about you in the comments below! :D

Until next time,
Sharmi Shah

When it comes to fashion, I very rarely experiment with my style. I like clothes that are comfortable and casual. When I'm going out I'll throw on a fancy top but I'll make sure I'm wearing jeans rather than a skirt or anything else that require a bit of a maintenance. For this look I threw on this over-sized shirt by Topshop pairing it with my comfiest Forever 21 skinny jeans. For footwear I went with these white pumps by Miss Benett London. Now they weren't the easiest to walk on at first but now that I'm used to them, they feel really comfortable. You can pair this look up with any accessories you want. I went with a yellow clutch by Koovs and these reflecting sunnies.

I had so much fun shooting this on my terrace. It was really impromptu. I asked my cousin whether she's shoot some pictures for me and she was like yeah so fast forward 2 hours I had this to share with you guys.

If you have any suggestions regarding any posts, please leave them down below.

When I initially started blogging here in India, the number of new launches were so limited that I actually had to order stuff from outside when any of my cousins came to visit me. But since then the times have changed a lot. Although I still order bits and pieces from outside I am always so grateful when brands here launch new products every now and then. One such exciting launch in the beginning of this year was by Maybelline. They launched these Color Sensational Lip Gradation. Available in 8 bright, matte shades, this double-sided lip product will inspire you to experiment with your looks and bring out your unique style and personality. The color stick at one end will give a gorgeous pop of color while the cushion blender tool at the other end will give a sexy, graded look. For a complete trend-on look, apply color on the centre of your upper lip and use the sponge smudger to extend the color to the outer edges till the contours of your lips or use it as a matte lip color or a lip liner. I got myself the shades Mauve 1 and Pink 1. Personally I don't see myself wearing these using the "gradation" effect. I tried it and it looked really weird. I don't think wearing these using the effect is quite practical in my day to day life. But I love wearing them in the regular manner. My favourite out of both is the Mauve 1. It is a very subtle brownish tone which I have been loving so much lately. The Pink 1 is way too pink for me and so I use the smudger at the end of it to smudge it and wear it as a stain.
All in all I love them! I still might get a couple more colours from this range especially a red one.
So have any of you tried these? These have been name Colour Blur in most of the countries.
Let me know your thoughts on these in the comments below.

Alright y’all. We are still pretty close to the beginning of the New Year, but just far enough in to start losing the motivation to keep those big goals we set on the 1st of January. Well, here is a little suggestion on how to stay motivated throughout the year.

1. First off, you have to want it! If you are really not sure you can get what you want, or that you are even capable of achieving your goal, you need to change something. Either your goal is way crazy, or you are not allowing yourself to believe in you. So, first decide and know that you want it, then go from there.

2. Second of all, don’t lose it! Don’t you lose that motivation. I have found that the best kind of motivation is self-motivation. No one can motivate you unless you are already motivated to be motivated! (Yes, that sure is a lot of motivation.) You have to be the one that decides here and now that you will do whatever it takes, no matter WHAT to reach those goals of yours.

3. So, what are those goals? No one cares – not even you – if you only have the goals in your head. WRITE THEM DOWN! I don’t know about you, but I have heard this plenty of times in my life. But, you know what else? I put it to the test. I write down my goals, because then I show myself how serious I really am about them! And, guess what? I remember those goals and stick to the plan a whole lot better when I do. Here is a little example:
I saved a note in my phone regarding a few goals, and then I totally forgot I had even done so. Months later, I was looking through all my phone notes, and noticed that buried note of goals! Luckily, it actually was titled “Goals” so I was able to know what it consisted of. I got curious as to what those “goals” were, and opened it up. My goals were very specific: numbers; dates; names; the works. Well, to my surprise, and in the most pleasant way, I realized how much I had stuck to what I wrote down. It was amazing! I was so excited to see that the simple act of writing down some goals, I probably just thought up that day, stayed with me enough for me to work towards them subconsciously!

4. Next, keep your motivation up by attracting what you want into your life. Look things up that have to do with what you want: rent books; follow motivating people; check out videos on that same subject. You are a whole lot more likely to go where you want to go, and do what you want to do, if you are filling your head with stories, and facts, from people who already are where you want to be. In other words, reach up! It is a lot easier to climb your way up when you grab hold of a rope affixed above your head, right?

5. Start your days out right! I personally have a morning schedule I try hard to adhere to daily. You may not be religious, and I had my phase in life like that too, but things changed. Well, now that I trust in my Maker substantially more than myself, I dedicate each day to Him by praying and studying from my scriptures, and other good books, first thing. It works for me, because my priorities are spot on. If I put what is most important in my life on the back burner, my days are chaotic. Really. So, figure out what is number one in your life, and concentrate on that, first thing every day. When you do, you will be both amazed and blessed to see how much better your day flows!

6. Take time for yourself! You can’t accomplish what you want if you never take a break. That may sound counter productive, but it actually isn’t. There are so many forces out there willing to assist you, you just have to ask (I personally ask my God and angels). Then you leave yourself more time to allow higher energies to work in your favor, and take some of the stress away from you. Relax. You don’t get what you want when you are stressing over it all the time. That is counter productive.

7. Don’t get upset if things do not go “according to plan.” As stated in the previous suggestion, when you allow greater forces to work in your favor, then you allow wiser sources to do their job. Meaning, things will most likely travel different roads than you originally anticipated. That is a very good thing! Don’t be alarmed when it seems like you are getting farther from your goals. Trust me, it will all work out. Keep the faith, and let things flow.

8. Just as you should not fret if things don’t appear to be working in your favor, when they actually are, don’t fret about time. We oftentimes want things to magically happen in our own rushed timeline that we are too impatient to wait, and we give up. Once again, wiser forces know a heck of a lot more than you do, so just let them do their job and trust that everything will happen in the time frame it is supposed to.

9. Keep your eye on the ball! I like to write down everything I feel inspired to, in order to stay focused, and then stick it on the wall in the place I am at the most (computer desk, bedroom wall I face most often, etc.). It is a constant reminder, and helps me remember where I am headed. Sometimes those “signs” need to be updated, as things change. That is okay, and can even be great! Change them as necessary, but always in a way that allows constant movement forward – NOT backward.

10. Have faith!! Yes, I mentioned this already, but it cannot be said enough. No matter what is occurring, so long as you keep calling upon your greater forces (I personally like to pray and ask my God, and also charge my angels to assist me), it will all work out! Probably a whole lot better than you imagined it would too. Just…DON’T…lose it.
And most importantly, remember:

You’ve got this!!
