APRIL MAKEUP EDIT: THE SUMMER GLOW

Summer Makeup

It's here! It's here! Summer is officially here!
Finally the season of bright pink lips and coral blushes! The best thing about wearing makeup in summers is that you always look so fresh and dewy. That's the makeup I love wearing. Something that isn't too heavy yet manages to even out my skin and adds a bit of colour to my face. For primer, I went with the Nivea Post Shaving Balm which primes my face for the base perfectly. I went with the L'oreal Infallible 24 Hr Foundation for my base. I only use about a pump or two which is enough to give me a medium coverage and doesn't feel as heavy on my face. To powder I used my trusted Rimmel Stay Matte powder which helps my makeup stay on for a long time while still making it look dewy. I kind of cheated on the blush department. I used a lipstick as a blush. I mean why not!? I used the Revlon lipstick in Fuchsia to give my cheeks a subtle hint of rosy blush. For my eyes I wanted to keep things really simple and so I went with this light brown colour from this Collection palette. Maybelline's Colossal Eyeliner in Super Black has been a staple for my eyeliner. It stays on for so long and it's a pain to remove it at night but I still love it. With that I also use the Maybelline Falsies mascara. I am really having a moment with Maybelline these days! Also for lips I'm really hoarding on L'oreal lipsticks. I have now 7 lipsticks from them! It's crazy I know but they are just so darn good. So I went for this one from it's Exclusive Pinks collection in Eva's Delicate Rose. More on the collection coming up later this week.

This is it for this look.
I keep switching on the lips and eye shadows but more or less these are the only products I have using this month.

What has been your staple this month? Leave your recommendations in the comments below!

Until next time,

  1. I love reading beauty blog posts when there are so many products that I don't actually own or have never tried! I was so upset that the Nivea shave balm didn't work on me and actually broke me out so badly, even when I got the sensitive one. I love the look of the collection palette, I'm a very neutral eyeshadow kind of person and since they are so budget friendly will have to see how this swatches in the shops! xx

    1. So sorry the balm didn't work for you. And yes even I am a huge fan of neutral eyeshadows. I rarely experiment in that department! :D
