I have always had a thing for travelling. For me travelling
always meant a lot more than the usual perimeter of taking endless pictures in
various poses at just the tourist sites. I’ve always had a thing for exploring
the place as a local. So when I finally shifted to Mumbai, since the first day I
knew I wanted to visit all the places around here.
So after weeks of debating on where to go to, we finally
decided to visit Lavasa. Lavasa is a private, planned city being built near
Pune. It is stylistically based on the Italian town Portofino, they look so alike! It has got
stunning orange, yellow and red buildings which makes it extremely Instagram worthy.
There’s also a lake right in the middle of the town where you can choose to do a water
sport of your liking. I have actually been to lavasa before, but it was with my
parents. This time along it was a completely different experience. We stopped
to have some corn on the cob on the way and it was the most delicious corn I’ve
ever had. The weather itself was so perfect. It was gloomy but pleasant. Though
the rains while on the way back almost made me think this is it! This is how I’m
going to die! (Exaggerating but my thoughts were definitely along these lines
somewhere).
As I’ve always been a firm believer of pictures being worth
a thousand words, here’s the whole photo diary of our day trip!
Until next time,
Stay.Incredible.
